At Southside we understand that we worship God every day of our lives
(Romans 12:1). It is also our
practice to assemble each week on the Lord's Day to join in a praise service.
We understand that the reason we gather is to praise God, offering him
our gratitude and service. We also
understand that when we gather to worship we receive a blessing from Christian
fellowship. Our weekly assembly includes a blended song service, an
offering time, the observance of the Lord's Supper, the preaching of the Word,
and the offering of an invitation to receive Christ.
Our Music and Worship ministry, working in concert with the
eldership, will from time to time plan special services and special music
presentations during our worship service.
Our desire is
to incorporate various musical preferences and styles, and
talents from the congregation as we gather to praise God together.
Our goal is to have each worship service be as "family friendly" as possible.
Toward that end each week we provide children's worship bulletins and activity
bags. At various times we may also include an object lesson or other
activity connected to the day's worship theme with children in mind.
